I am only giving this place two stars because most of the staff were awesome. I was there 8 hours while doing intake/talking to different staff and nurses. When I laid down, it was shift change. A very loud, obnoxious person came in screaming and cussing. I thought it was another patient. No. It was an employee. She was saying very vulgar things and screaming and saying certain things werent her job. As someone who was there during a very trying time and it literally being a crisis center, this is simply not acceptable. Among the other problems that were already going on with me, I have very high blood pressure. My heart rate immediately went up and felt I couldnt stay any longer. I tried to just lay there, hoping she would stop, but no, she went on and on. It felt threatening so I left. Its pretty bad when you go in for help, which is hard enough to do, then have an employee make you want to leave. Very unprofessional. The nurse on duty tried to get me to stay, and was very nice. This was the time I was offered medicine. I didnt feel safe there because of this. Everyone there except the irate employee apologized to me, of course. It only takes one person to ruin a potentially good place. And this is that person. What if I had been highly suicidal and left and did just that? It would have been directly her fault.
