Had a colonoscopy here. The worst part is that it is a TOTAL PRODUCTION line. NO COMPASSION FROM ANY STAFF MEMBER. No caregiver is permitted to be with you after asking several times although there is a chair in pre/post op area. Pre-op nurse shoved consent forms in my face and INSISTED I sign after telling her I did not have my reading glasses and could not see the papers (legal issue??) I WAS NEVER GIVEN OPTIONS FOR SEDATION...they want you knocked out so they don't have to deal with you. You will be woken in recovery area by being screamed at by nurse whose main goal is the get you out the door. THERE IS ZERO CONCERN FOR PATIENTS WELLBEING.

Doctor and anesthesiologist were switched right before my procedure so I don't know who they are. Exiting after procedure is EXTREMELY UNSAFE. My husband was not permitted into the exit ramp, because of someone who refused to move their car, for him to collect me so they made me walk behind the car that wouldn't move. This is unacceptable treatment following a procedure that required sedation. I will never come here again.

My 81 year old mother was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her colon based on a routine colonoscopy. She had surgery the day after the diagnosis. Thank God for that! The surgery was successful and mother needn't have chemo or radiation since the tumor was confined. This is mother's 5th cancer and thanks to the doctor at North River Surgical Center, it looks as though she's beaten cancer again! The doctor was so nice and professional and I'll always remember that.

I waited two hours and was getting dehydrated. Finally took me back and I was never so happy to be getting an IV. That nurse was very nice and good at her job. When I woke up after the procedure, they told me the findings and to get dressed. Took out my IV and monitors. My eyes were still closed and not fully awake. She kept telling me to wake up and get my clothes on. I immediately knew something was wrong but they were so busy turning out patients that they didnt care. I had a colonoscopy but for some crazy reason my throat and chest hurt to breathe. I had to ask someone to listen to my lungs and they could not look at my throat because no instruments. I was afraid I had acid reflux and aspiration. Nobody cared. They said they could send me to the ER if I wanted. I just told them I wanted to leave so I could call my doctor. They were glad to see me leave. I tired to call later and report I was running 101.5 fever but nurses wouldnt answer the call. Was suffering severe dehydration. No body cared. I went to urgent care next day for antibiotics.
