Horrible experience while working there! I called to speak with the director of nursing about an incident with one of her staff members. Although she listened attentively,her response to my concerns even her tone of voice while speaking with me was beyond rude! They have some amazing nurses there too bad I had to experience the ugliness inside out vividly the outside of Denise,one of the nurses assistants. Denise Im my opinion is a miserable very unprofessional entity. Im almost certain her ugliness will rear its ugly head again and shell be held accountable!!

My wife is currently at West Alabama Hospice. She has been here over a week and as I sit here beside her and write this review I find myself searching for words to describe this staff and this facility. Words such as amazing, incredible, caring and compassionate are certainly accurate but its just hard to describe this experience unless you have a loved one here.. We have bragged on and thanked everyone that has had a hand in this devastating experience we are going through. I believe a lot of these folks would do what they do whether they were paid or not. Ill tell you this.. there will be a special place in Heaven for each and every one of them. God Bless You All as you go about your daily duties. Also May God bless all the good people that contribute to keep this facility going forever.

Having a loved one in hospice isnt a pleasant experience. However, if you should find yourself in this situation, the Hospice of West Alabama is the best place they could be. It takes a special kind of person to handle this kind of work, but the nurses and staff here are truly amazing. They treat my father gently and with compassion. The way they take care of Dad, as well as treat the whole family, really helps us to be able to focus on spending these last days with him. Id also like to mention how clean and comfortable the room and the rest of the facility is. This isnt a place you want to be, but if your circumstances necessitate hospice care, you could do no better than the wonderful people here at HWA.
