Store Is New So That's A Plus ! But, The Women That Work There Don't Know How To Serve Good Customer Service. Gossiping & Looking You Up & Down Like You're A Criminal !. I Had To Look Crazy At One Because She Was Straight Up Following Me Around! The Guy With The Dreads Walks You To The Spot You Need & He's Fast On Checkout & Polite! I Turn Around If I Don't See Him Working. Only He Deserves 5 Star

This is long but I want to be crystal clear here. First of all kudos to Dollar General for providing a clean, well stocked store for my shopping experience. Unfortunately it goes left after entering the store. On Friday evening I strongly suspect that my partner and I were targeted by the way the associate followed us in the store, nevertheless we spent just under $50. I bought a tiered coffee cup set and I was concerned with the way the clerk haphazardly placed it in the bag. When we got home I noticed that one of the cups had broken so I left it in the car so we could take it back Saturday afternoon. I went to the store to get a replacement and was told by the manager, who was also the clerk from the night before , that she wouldnt replace the cups because I broke it. We went back and forth in disagreement with me ending our conversation by telling her that I managed customer service personnel prior to retirement and that I would never treat a customer the way that she treated me, and that she shouldve protected the merchandise to ensure that it didnt get broken, and that the experience with her was a disappointment. When I got home I called the store back to gain clarity before calling the corporate office. I was told by her assistant that he couldnt go over her ( I didnt ask for that) and that she was on the floor and to be honest didnt want to speak to me. I am hoping that this review will get the attention of the District Manager and will result in some bias training for Kecia (manager) so that she will be better equipped to navigate through an exchange situation without so much hostility to a paying customer.
