Church at The Oaks is a Godsend - literally.
Last year, I was a freshman student at The University of Alabama. Moving to another state in the midst of an international pandemic left me struggling with connecting with peers and pursuing Christ. My first tribe (coed Bible study group) at Church of the Oaks introduced me to some of my first real friends. Those friends taught me the meaning of true Christ-like love. One exceptionally close friend (MJ was their nickname in our friend group) was prayerful enough over my life to show me that I wasn't walking in Christ's will.
When I realized I was on the wrong path, Pastor Britton and many other Church members helped to show me what walking with Christ is really like.
If I hadn't attended Church at The Oaks, I would not be a Christian today, walking forward in salvation and the peace of Christ.
