I do not recommend using this insurance company. They are vindictive and will harass you. My story began on about June 30 of this year. I received a bill from the company and tried to call and pay the bill over the phone. When the lady taking the payment over the phone realized that my car we’re not insured with them (Alfa was about $120 per Month cheaper) and I only had a homeowner policy she told me at that point that they couldn’t insure my home unless they insured my cars. She told me to call back in a day or two when I had information about my declarations and what I was paying for with Alfa and she could match Alfa. When I didn’t call her back in a few days like she asked me to (I decided to leave my policies with Alfa as I was satisfied with their company) out of nowhere I got a surprise home inspection. This was the first home inspection in 16 years I’ve ever had. A lady came while I was gone walked around my yard walked up into my shop and actually took a ladder and walked up onto my roof while I was gone (I guess because she is fat and old she must have thought that she was Santa Clause IDK but she actually walked on my roof). They gave me a long list of things that was wrong with my house that I needed to fix or they were going to have to cancel my policy. This was all due to me refusing to move my cars to their company to be insured by them. If this is not harassment, then what is? I told them I was disabled and I will do the best I could do it which I did. However for them to be that vindictive to give me a home inspection with a long list of things I needed to do, and 20 days to do these tasks, that tells me that they really don’t need my policies that badly. I guess they don’t make that much money on homeowners and that’s why they tried to coerce me into taking their auto policy. Trust me, if they will harass me , they harass you in the same manner given the right chance and the right opportunity. There is no possible explanation for this other than they were harassing me because I did not insured my cars with them. As I have already stated I have never been inspected in 16 years. Trust me, if they’ll do that to me will do it to anyone else given the right opportunity in the right chance. Unless you want to deal with petty BS then find another company to serve your insurance needs. If you must go with Allstate do not go with this agency in Summerdale Alabama.
