    There a complete scam and took $500 when they were supposed to take 100 for a application fee and turned us down and now saying we have to wait for 3 weeks to get our 400 back and nobody can explain why that is so they get less than a 1 star from me as we're still homeless and they've got out money

    I've Been Living Here Since September & I Love It Any Time I Call Them With A Problem They Fix It Immediately The Staff Are So Nice And The Maintenance Guys Are Great.....

    If I can give this place -5 stars I would, and the people whos giving this place praise I feel like are either paid to do so, close relatives, or are pages only created by members of staff to make their own selves look good, no way people would actually enjoy living here. The hallways are usually trashy and smells awful. The neighbors are very loud along with their dogs thatll bark for long periods of time, and even can be heard well past the noise curfew hours. You also hear the neighbors playing loud music very frequently even one time around 4AM, and its this one alcoholic that gets drunk screaming out racial stuff and political opinions in the mist of slamming doors, to the point itll make you jump out of your sleep when hes been drinking past midnight(you can even hear a pin drop- thats how thin the walls are, now imagine noise frequencies at those levels). You can also smell cigarette smoke coming through the hallways, and a lot of times, even through your own bathroom vent(mind you we are non-smokers and this is supposed to be a smoke free building). The place is also infested with mice and roaches; theres no telling what actually lives inside the walls and if youre quiet you can hear critters scratching and scurrying. Also, the neighbors lets their dogs use the bathroom anywhere, one day, I was walking up the inside stairs and dog poop was right there; which I was pretty close to stepping in it. Then when your report all this stuff it continues like it was never even reported- to the point where we just stopped reporting certain things- patiently waiting till our lease expired. If you want your peace, professionalism, smoke free, pest free, cleanliness environment, Platos doesnt provide nun of it. This place from the get go has been a very bad experience. We also had to threaten a lawsuit to get them to finally mail us our deposit back.

Hello, I assure you, we are not a scam. Our property is managed by a company that has been in business for over 30 years and has over 140 properties in the U.S. The additional $400 was a holding fee that reserves a particular apartment home for you - taking it off the market. We are overnighting the refund to you on Thursday. We wish the best of luck to you in your housing search.

Here at Plato’s Apartments, we rent to those who have completed an application, passed a credit and criminal background check, and met our pet policy when applicable. We also check with prior landlords. We are not permitted to do additional screening. We do not have our friends and family provide reviews as that would be unethical. I assure you that if we did, our rating would be much higher! We do have happy residents and that is the reason for the higher ratings. During business hours, we walk through the building and take note of any lease violations that are happening at that time. We are unable to do this after business hours. We do our best to prevent unwanted behaviors by listing them in our lease, indicating that they can result in a lease violation, and that three lease violations can result in an eviction. Outside of that, we are unable to prevent those behaviors. In some cases, lease violations do not correct the behavior, and we continue the process. We rely on residents to inform us of any issues they encounter on the property. We do address all issues that are brought to us. Unfortunately, we cannot address issues that are not reported or observed by us. We have a regular pest control schedule, and we also schedule additional visits if we are notified of a problem. It may appear that we are not taking action, but we are. In the instance of lease violations, we will not inform the resident who informed us of the issue that we issued a lease violation, nor will we notify them that the eviction process has started, as that is confidential. Evictions take time, so we ask for patience. We are saddened that you did not enjoy your time with us and that we no longer have the opportunity to help you with your concerns. We hope that you have found a community that works better for you.
