I love dollar general stores and I will continue to shop there but, the store in Pelham Plaza needs new help. The employees encourage you to use self check out so they dont have to check you out and please do not ever ask for cash back. Even though its an option they frown upon it. One of the cashiers is ALWAYS on the phone. They have absolutely NO idea what customer service is. They need a manager with a backbone. Its a great location and we love dollar general but, we have given this one several chances and it never changes.

Not sure if anyone from Dollar General reads these reviews or cares. This store is in need to new leadership. I arrived at the store a few minutes after 7:00 am, there were no employee visible in the store. After getting what I needed I went to self check out (remember no employees visible) and self check out was not open. Then I proceed to go through the store asking for help and finally an employee comes out saying(the first thing I do when I get to work is go to the bathroom) and he then proceeds to setup the cashier stations. Also this store is always a mess.
