Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Orange Beach

Very disappointed that we were not informed the facility was undergoing renovations, prior to our booking! We had multiple issues. The facility hall carpets were not vacuumed once over our stay. 1of 2 elevators was broken. The hot tub was not hot, nor do the jets work properly. Our maid service replaced towels, but failed to even make our beds. When we tried to call down to the front desk, the phone was not working. The pull out couch mattress was stained. The parking lot had screws, saw blades and rotary cutter blades lying in parking spots. The outside door to the parking lot did not lock. This is not what we are accustomed too when staying at a Marriot. When our concernS were mentioned at the front desk, we were ignored.

I have been using Marriott for over a decade and have never had the kind of experience we had while staying here. My grandson slept on the pull out sofa, the mattress in it was sickening. I went downstairs to get someone to look at it but was informed that it'll be morning before that could happen. No telling what was on that mattress. Also the shower door wouldn't close, kept opening 4-6 inches which caused a water buildup. We spent 2 nights and the only house keeping we received was they placed towels on the bathroom bar. I will be rethinking my options when it comes to Marriott and Fairfield hotels. Got to get this out to my followers on social media

Front desk first impression was very friendly! Great location for staying off the congested roads. Unfortunately it did not live up to the Marriott standard. The housekeeping is probably short staffed and not able to get the cleaning details. Cheetos visible on floor, coffee pot wasnt emptied, lamp switches/alarm had food residue on them. I was offered a room on any floor but 1, but I should have said can I have a room that has been cleaned normally and not just bed and toilet. Its extremely hard to find employees right now but maintaining the standard shouldnt be compromised.

Wonderful stay! I especially want to thank Miss Haley for her hard work and great service. Just a short walk to the water, great pool and hot tub, great breakfast, appreciated the water bottle fill up by the gym. There was some remodeling going on but theyre doing it right, never an inconvenience. Only stayed 2 nights, wish it was longer! The view is from our room on the backside of the hotel and still beautiful to wake up to! Nearby activities: Within walking distance from anything you could need and the beach!
