The main reason I am writing a review is because there were surprisingly some low star ratings on here, yet our experience could not have been better. As someone who has been on overnight private charters on nicer boats to other party boats, I can say without a doubt that this was one of the best trips Ive ever been on. Everyone in our group caught their limit in snapper, and other groups did as well. It was almost nonstop catching! So if you are looking for a cheaper but great fishing experience, dont let the other reviews deter you! To address some of the other negative reviews, yesthe deckhands do work for tips and you need to consider this baked into the cake of deep sea fishing. They fully expect to be tipped 20% just for the trip. But ours earned every dime. The website is also apparently outdated and states they clean the fish for $0.30/pound. This wasnt the case for us. Instead they expected $20 per gallon bag of filets. Our group caught ~90 snapper, which was 8 one gallon ziplock bags of filets. Most groups of 2 people had 2-3 bags. So just expect to tip more at the very end too for fish cleaning. All in all, a great experience, and best bang for your buck in my opinion!
