On May 25, 2020, my father signed a contract with Joey Lee Lundy Painting Company to have Joey provide the following services: Pressure wash the exterior of the house and sidewalk (no driveway) Replace rotten wood by chimney Paint exterior wood work of home, windows not included. My father was to supply all materials, and the start date was "weather permitting and/or unforeseen delays)." The signed contract was in the amount of $1600.00, and my father paid Joey a $400.00 deposit. Today is December 30, 2021, and as of this time, Joey has not been back to the house. My father passed on July 1st, 2020, and, understandably, some things have taken priority. My mom, Thelma R Thomas, later contacted Joey and asked for an update on when he would begin providing the services requesting a modification to the contract. He indicated that he was behind but agreed to come by and pressure wash the front door and sidewalk in return for the $400 deposit he had received. Joey never came to the house. My mom left several messages, but Joey never returned any of her calls. My mom contacted me and explained the situation. She gave me Joey's number. When I called, he answered and said that he had the contract with him in his vehicle. I told him that I would be in Andalusia in a couple of days, and he agreed to come to the house to begin the work. I arrived in Andalusia and was home for over a week. Joey never called nor did he come by the house. He did not return any of our phone calls. When we tried to contact him today, we were unable to get through with a message indicating that "this call cannot be completed because there are restrictions on this line." Our attempts to contact Joey on an alternate number led to the same message. I don't know what that means to any of you, but, to me, it means that my family has been cheated out of $400 by Joey Lundy. Do you agree? In my world, it appears as if I am being forced to pursue other options. I think the worst thing in the world is taking advantage of a grieving widow. My mom, Thelma R Thomas, does not deserve to be treated like this, and I definitely plan on doing whatever I need to do to protect her. If someone knows how to contact Joey Lundy, please provide his contact information so that he can help resolve this issue.
