I leased a townhouse through this company and it was not a desirable situation. The management was horrible and I felt very compelled to break my lease but I completed it. I was waiting for my deposit and received and invoice for damages and cleaning that amounted to $1150 (entire deposit). $450 cleaning charge. $750 painting charge. $250 carpet cleaning charge.. $45 toilet seat charge. $45 blinds charge. $45 rolling closet door charger which was without roller when I moved in even charged me for light bulbs which I have changed before with my own money and more. I have video verification that the property was in the same or better condition than when I got there. I asked the office for a copy of leasing agreement and they said they could not give me one. I will be taking these guys to court so beware of the unprofessional atmosphere.

I vowed 4 yrs prior to renting from HM that I wouldn't rent from them solely based on their reviews at that time.Two years later, I saw a lovely property that was cheaper than all/most rentals in the Auburn area.Ignoring my first mind, I rented from HM anyway and that was the biggest mistake I ever made.
BTW, Haley's rental properties are listed cheaper than anyone else's because they know they will get more out of you once you leave.
So I read the reviews and I see what the majority of the conplaints are. I still think to myself, I am going to go in and do right, be the perfect renter & all will be well.The problem is, you go in and treat the owner's property with the utmost respect and as if its your own but they don't do the same to you or the property itself. There isn't enough time or space to post my experience with HM but I honestly can say please consider the reviews before renting from them.I would say I feel sorry for the home owners who list with them, but I don't b/c they too read these reviews and condone the conning behavior that Haley's Management practices b/c apparently they benefit from the theiving behavior as well.Now I must say, I went through hell with HM and it took all of the holy spirit in me to keep from wishing evil upon these people.because
I can say that the issues ranged from air conditioning units being out in our building constantly, slow response to maintenance request, poor quality building material used, and horrible customer service.The staff and apparently, the Haley's ARE extremely disrespectful, nonchalant, cold hearted,
arrogant,mean,unprofessional, dishonest, have poor communication skills,liars,contradictory,unethical,
financially motivated,belittling of others, self centered, unjust & unchristian like.
There lack of respect and appreciation of the hard-working people who provide them their financial wealth is unbelievable to me and clearly that's their only wealth because the way they treated me & apparently others from these reviews, they definitely lack spirtual wealth. I am just thankful to God that my business with them is done!
Lastly, I asked the person who showed me the home about the negative reviews & he says in summary...yes, the business has negative reviews & unfortunately, we struggle with those issues but what can you do when the Haley's own or list most properties in Auburn?
I can now say to that question...keep looking!!

My experience with Hayley Management was very poor to put it nicely. I was shown a home on 2/20/24. Vere nice home, perfect for what I was looking for. Because this home fit the needs of my family and I we were interested. During the showing we were told to go ahead and apply due to this home being really nice and that no one else has applied. By the end of the week we has not heard from anyone. We would call and get told that they were waiting for this or that, or the application states its pending or whatever story they could make up to get us off the phone. So after 2 weeks of calling and getting no response, I decided to stop by. Met with Kelli. I asked for an update due to it never taking this long for me to be approved to rent. I have great rental history. She proceeds to tell me that my application had been closed and someone else had the property. I asked how that was possible. Because I had not got a call back to even know my application was approved let alone close. She said that even though I was told we were the first applicants that was a mistake but she nor the owner could tell me the date I applied versus the date the other applicant has applied. I have never experienced people so uncaring, unorganized, unprofessional and unable to communicate as a business. I'm not normally one to complain but this was ridiculous. I felt discriminated against because I am black and the neighborhood is predominantly white neighborhood in Auburn. They treated us unfairly without even the decency to try to remedy the situation with good customer service, a sincere apology, or solution to meet the needs and standards that we were looking for. They wont answer the phone and even when you leave a message its likely that you wont get a call back. Because of this I do not recommend. There is so much more I would like to say but I will leave it here. The reviews speak for themselves on this company.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU UNNECESSARY MONEY AFTER YOU MOVE AND CLAIM IT WAS FOR CLEANING AND PAINTING. AFTER 3 YEARS OF FLOODED APARTMENTS, RATS AND ROACHES WILL COME AND THEY DO NOTHING SO THEY CAN CHARGE YOU AFTER YOU MOVE OUT. BEST ADVICE IS DOCUMENT EVERYTHING AND TAKE PICTURES. GET HAND WRITTEN NOTICES AND KEEP IT FOR COURT CAUSE YOU WILL NEED IT
