Okay, I travel a lot as past reviews might indicate. Every now and then I will write a review on a place that is most fabulous or most terrible. Here's a fabulous review and why. Happy hour special are an excellent value. The drinks and options are quite good. What made this experience superb was the waits staff from the hostess who was positively accommodating to the waitress that made recommendations that were calibrated to exactly the mood of each table as I watched her work her section. Her name was "Ohnesty". Ohnesty made the drink and food experience perfect. I watched her adjust to pretentious "Brookie" (Mtn. Brook Al.) guests and regular folk who were looking for simply superb food and drinks for a good value for their money and she delivered for this good quality restaurant on both criteria. For a pleasant experience when post pandemic most places are suffering, CharBar in Mountain Brook, AL is a fun, relaxed, quality dining experience. A special Kudo to " Onestsy" for a great service person. I was so surprised to have her relate she'd been at the job for only a couple of weeks. Just go to the CharBar 7 if you're in the region. Hopefully your experience is as favorable.
