Its been years since I fired Dr. Abolade, but I have some distance from the situation now and can now speak through a lens of stability. Just a few major points. First example is when I asked to reduce my Cymbalta due to feeling like I was getting manic, she told me sure, but that shed be there when I failed. She reduced it too fast. It was awful. (I had a very good doctor help me ween off of it later and feel so much better now.) Second example is when she put me on a medication for restless legs. I expressed concern over studies done that showed negative psychiatric side effects. She was dismissive and said to keep taking it. It threw me into severe mania, and I had no inhibition, no control. I ended up in ICU, but it ended up getting me the best doctor I could ask for, so thats the silver lining. Thats when I left Dr. Abolade and never looked back. The other big example I can give of unprofessional practices is the time she talked to me about a family member that was also a patient of hers. She did this with a friend as welldishing out private information to people who had no business knowing ita major breach of doctor-patient confidentiality and HIPPA. Im so glad I no longer see this doctor. I finally have my life straight, no thanks to her. I do hope she can see here how well I am now with a major reduction of medications, zero benzos, zero antipsychotics, just a tad of antidepressant and mood stabilizer coupled with intense inpatient/partial/DBT back in 2017. Finally off Disability, happy, successful, enjoying work, doing well, STABLE. This would not have been possible with Dr. Abolade.

I truly encourage people not to go here. I personally had the utterly worst experience with the front office personally. She tried to fight me after she didn't email me the necessary paperwork, than she lied that she tried calling me all weekend but they are closed. After showing her my phone call logs, she slammed her fits on the desk, walked across the office and washed to fight. People who mental health is on the line and than to deal with people like that. Luckily i was able to composed myself and not get trigger. To my military family Duan the street from jet, there's a va here in Alabama. Please take the time to drive to a va clinic/hospital for all your needs. I had a video call with another doctor through my insurance after reporting this incident to them to tenor them from the list.

WARNING!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! The counselor assigned to my SERIOSLY MENTALLY ILL loved one apparently did not recognise the worsening symptoms of psychosis. When it was decided a change in medication was indicated Dr Caroline Abolade refused to do out patient medication management insisting on hospitalization where a different Doctor would do diagnosis and treatment. At the ER we were told to go back to Dr Caroline Abolade for medication management. Since I did not feel we were receivingg the treatment that was beneficial or satisfactory we left. I would not recommend wasting time or money at this practice.
