Front desk rude and unprofessional. Walked in and everyone was sitting on their phone. Nurses dont answer the phone, just sit around gossiping. Ive been asking for a clearance for work since last Thursday and still havent received one.

They slow. The nurses dont do nothing but sitting at the desk and talk. My child appointment was at 9am and aint no way we should be leaving at 12pm. The nurse practitioner dont know what shes doing. I really hate that place and I will not go back there.

Today 07/19/23 between 12:30 and 1:30 theres a young girl at the front desk with box braids Her name is Candice. I watched her turn 4 ADULTS away including myself. When I walked in she immediately tried to turn me out the door. She asked if I was doing a walk in, I said yes. She tells me were not excepting any walk-ins. I told her Im pretty sure you guys are and then I asked why not because I called to make sure and they said they would be at 1 oclock. She proceeded to say well did you talk to somebody here because we dont were not excepting any. I said yes, but dont worry about it Ill just leave(very disappointed that there are young people at the desk not doing the job right even though this is peoples health on the line). I was walking out Until a female that actually knows what shes doing stopped me and told me that You ARE doing walkins at 1 oclock. So I signed in around 1230 because I knew I could do a walk in. While I waited, 3 other adults came in, only ONE with a baby and she told every last one of them that they dont have doctors in the building and only nurse Practitioners nurse and that the nurses cant do anything for you. FOUR ADULTS. When 1 oclock came she asked me what I needed to be seen for. So I told her I needed a referral to see my eye doctor. She then tells me the samething she told EVERYONE else, Well we only have nurse practitioners I dont think they can do that for you. If I had not known any better she wouldve turned me away to. I dont understand why this child was hired for the job, but shes giving medical advice that she shouldnt be giving and she turned away patients that also could have been seen she had no authority tell them what could be done for them and cant be by the nurses you have available . Someone in her position should never be speaking about what the nurses can or cant do for a patient. Her job is to check patients in not turn them away and give medical advice about what she thinks. I do appreciate my nurse practitioner that I seen. And by the way, when I got home I called up there just to get her name. Sure enough she answer the phone, says the name of the faculty and then immediately hangs up putting me on hold without saying anything else and not even giving me a chance to say hello. So I called back and asked her if this is the girl that was sitting at the desk at 12:30 with the box braids. She said yes this is Candace. So dont let her fool you she doesnt have even have patience to answer the phone. And one more thing me and the other adults she turned away were the only people that were in there the place was empty she obviously wanted to keep it that way.
