My friend is disabled and rides the route 5 bus to his evening destination on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today for no apparent reason, he was not picked up. Not 1 but 2 route 5 buses passed by him. He catches the bus from the same bust stop and has now for 6 months. Unfortunately, two mean bus drivers didn't think he was worthy of being picked up. Mind you he is disabled and was leaving the dialysis clinic. Shame on whomever the drivers are for showing such poor work ethic. I will be taking this matter further!

I ride the bus often and I hate it, but I have no choice but to. For a business that took people putting themselves in danger and dying for (Montgomery Bus Boycott), you would figure that this would be a lot more enjoyable than it actually is, but of course not! I have had my run ins with tempermental drivers who want to single me out for IDs and claim that they are fake, I have often experienced drivers driving right past me at literal bus stops or bus drivers moving the bus stops around, as they please. Through all of this despicable behaviour, I have not said a word and I have now come to regret it. Tonight (at 6pm on the 24th), my anger towards this sad excuse for a bus system has boiled over. This encounter starts with me leaving something on the bus. It was a Welch's Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Cocktail Bottle. It was straight from Target, so it was never opened. When I was dropped off, I realized that I forgot it. Yes, I know that this was originally my fault for not getting it, but in my defense, I have been having memory problems for a while now, since I'm recovering from Anemia. Memory loss is a common thing. I literally carry around a backpack, just to keep things from getting lost. I couldn't fit that bottle in my bag and look at that, I left it on the bus. As soon as I realized this, I call the bus station to as them to keep the bottle for me and I can simply get it from a bus driver, tomorrow. Simple, right? The woman that I talked to first, seemed okay with it and took down my name for the bottle that I would later get back. The next day comes and I ask the first bus driver I see, about my bottle. He didn't have it, and it was fine. He called the people at the bus station and apparently, they locked it in their shop for the afternoon. Fine, ok, I just want my stuff back. I worked the morning shift and got off and called the station for my bottle and here's where I get the rude old woman with the purple shirt and short icy blond tips. She picks up the call and everything starts ok, until there is a miscommunication from one of the bus drivers about me getting the bottle, back. I tell her that I never said that I would come downtown to get it, one of the bus drivers lied to her and she takes it out on me. "Well ma'am, the bus drivers don't drive around with things like that. They change shifts." She snidely answered. Yeah, I know. I have been riding the bus too long, for this. I asked if she could just give the bottle to one of the drivers and I could just get it from them and after throwing a tantrum, she told me that she would do so. She literally said she would do that, after asking me what option was best. Then, she had the audacity to say, "You're welcome." As if I owed her a 'thank you' for that deplorable attitude? You're kidding me. The idea was to get the bottle from the bus driver heading to or from the bus station. When I get to the bus going towards my house, the driver says that he doesn't have it, because this woman said it "isn't their responsibility to send items this way. If I want it, I would have to go downtown to get it." This is not what she said, earlier. She made me go downtown just for her to be trifling. She wasted my time getting home, which is about an hour, to an hour and a half for this? Okay. This bottle was not expensive, or anything, but I hate how this was handled. This woman is too old to be this trifling and immature, so I made the time to write this complaint. Traveling is limited for me, and she knew that, as well. So, I will be handling this further, online. Thank you for giving me something to write about. There's your 'Thank you!'
