Officer Rhodes was a life saver! He stopped to check on us as we were out of gas on 85 and was wonderful. Even though we had a call in to AAA he took us to the closest gas station to get gas so we didn't have to wait on the dark highway.

The amount of respect that I have for the men and women who put this uniform on every day cannot possibly be measured. I work closely with these unique men and women as a firefighter and so I see "ALEA/Troopers" as the highest standard that anyone in law enforcement could ever hope to reach. A rare breed. I've always been very impressed with everything that these brave men and women constantly have to deal with on a routine basis, 365 days a year. It's *not* your average "9 to 5" , to say the least. I'm grateful that we have such selfless troopers who are willing to put their lives on the line to protect our highways and uphold the law, while the rest of us are safe and sound at home, tucking our children into their warm little beds, shortly before settling in and watching a movie with our loved ones in our arms. Meanwhile [these ]selfless men and women who wear that uniform are literally out there soaking wet directing traffic in the freezing rain. They race as fast as they can, all to help a complete stranger who won't even bother to thank them when it's all said and done. In my opinion, They are taking for granted far too much. I mean, can you imagine what it would be like if everyone were as appreciative of these Troopers as I am for them? Now that is a world that I would love to live in!!
