It's unfortunate that I have to give it a one star... I used to think very very highly of this hospital. Recently my wife was admitted, I was not allowed to see her, she had no patient advocate, and it was non covid related. With house bill 521 they would still allow me to go up and see her or be her advocate. She was on pain medicine and could not communicate with the doctors at the time. As a result they started treating something totally unrelated and gave her medication she had allergic reaction to. I asked to speak to the Dr, no return call after two requests.I asked to speak administration they would not come out to see me, instead they called security to ask me to leave. After refusing to leave, they called the mobile police department. The only thing I wanted was to talk to administration or speak to a patient advocate. I offered to wear all the PPE, to no avail. The police department forced me to leave the campus... Thanks Springhill... Got your patients and family right where you want them don't you!?

I just gave birth here, and unfortunately, it was a difficult delivery, and I ended up needing an unplanned c-section. Nurse Kendal was taking care of me for the majority of my labor and all the hardest parts, and did a phenomenal job. She was very reassuring and did a great job of making me feel comfortable during a stressful time when I was dealing with contractions and epidurals wearing off and trying to push to no avail for two hours. Nurse Grace took care of me during my first night of recovery and was also there helping me when I was trying to push, and was very encouraging and accommodating when I was in a lot of pain after the surgery. Dr. Saucier did a great job of letting me know what my options were and feeling comfortable that I was making a safe decision given the circumstances. Two male staff members who were attending the surgery helped me stay calm during the procedure, but I didn’t catch their names because I was pretty out of it by that point. All in all, the staff was great, and that can make or break someone’s birthing experience, especially when things don’t go as planned. I have nothing but positive things to say about what could have been a scary experience for me because of the staff who helped me during this time.

Emergency Response did a phenomenal job on my last visit, May 17, 2021. I would love to give an extra shout out to RN Mary Payne Rhodes for drawing my blood. That nurse needs a raise and a praise report for all of her extra hard work. Normally, it takes a half hour to am hour long for someone to find my veins and pick me for a blood test (ever since I was a child.. one time a nurse had to draw blood out of a popping vein on my foot) but Mary sure exceeded my expectations. She did it in 2-5 minutes!! All the staff are friendly. I did have a problem with billing since the doctor saw me for only 30 seconds, said one sentence to me and left and charged me $800 when the CAT Scan and ER bill combined was under $400. The rest of the staff was very prompt and did alright.
