Upon receiving my new policy for renewal, I noticed that the premium amount was $3K more compared to the year before. I contacted Steve, and he assured me that he would find a better rate/policy. After not hearing back or receiving a reply email or phone call for over three weeks, I received an email from the insurance company (Orion) thanking me for my payment that I did not authorize. Still not being able to get Steve to answer me, I spoke with the receptionist at Jack Green. She informed me that Steve left "three or four weeks ago" and no one else at Jack Green knew anything about his clients or their policies. She did not offer to resolve the issue with Orion re: processing my refund, and no one has called me in the weeks since. She did say that my file had a note in it from Steve that he could not find a better rate (which shows they DID know something about my policy), but this was never communicated to me. This is the second major unprofessional and unacceptable event I have had with Jack Green in the two years that I have used them (the first being an inexplicable double charge of over $5K on the first year that overdrew my escrow account). We switched to State Farm and received a much better rate on home and auto, even compared to what I paid last year. Still working on getting the $8K+ that they let Orion withdraw from my account back, but that's another issue . . .
