While I know that SKCO automotive typically serves the scum of Mobile, and Southeast Financial is their main lender, there is no excuse for the type of abuse and horrid customer service given by this establishment. I understand that people don't pay their bill and they put this box on your vehicle to ensure they can get the vehicle back easily when it is time for repossession so you have to be given a monthly code or you vehicle will not start leaving you stranded where you are, but when you have been paying your payment on time for 3 years. They should at least have some sort of courtesy towards their responsible customers. Diane is the lady that is ALWAYS there. She is a miserable human being to say the least. She will not go one inch out of her way to make your experience any better. She is not the only horrible person that works there. Her sons or family members also work there. When you go in to make your payment, they act as if you have interrupted them from something very important. And you have to go in to pay, or either use snail mail. I mean seriously ITS 2012 WHO DOESN'T TAKE DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS. Set up a PayPal account for God's sake!!! One time I went in to pay my bill, and I didn't say anything to the guy, I wanted to see if he would even acknowledge me, I sat down in front of his desk, he did not say one word to me! Not hello, not thank you for your timely payment, not how are you, not Goodbye or anything. This is beyond bad customer service, this is bad manners. I have opted to mailing my payments in bc they are so infuriating and I do not want them to put a damper on my mood and ruin my day bc of their sorry attitudes. So when I see that the check has been received, has been withdrawn from my account, why can't they give me the courtesy of calling and providing the necessary code? Seems reasonable, right? NO! You have to call and pray that you reach someone and they give you the code. Perhaps you call during their 2 hour lunch breaks or that they decided to close 2 hours early, or that they close down completely on Arbor Day or some other obscure holiday. They do not respect their Hours of Operation at ALL. Imagine how despicable it is to get off work early to make it there before they close bc they are located way out in West Mobile, only to arrive a ½ hour before they close to find that they have left for the day. When I called today to get my code 3 days after they received the payment, I asked Why she couldn't make a simple phone call, She said, "It is not my business to call you, Do you really expect me to call 300 people." No I don't, but when you put devices on people's vehicle that can leave them stranded, then yes, I do expect you to take an initiative when you are charging such a ridiculous interest rate. Yes, I do expect to be treated like a decent human being. I told her that I cannot wait until I am done paying off my car so I will not have to be treated in such a way, and she actually had the nerve to yell, YEA WELL ILL BE GLAD TO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOU!! I could not believe it, and I pray that when it comes time for you to finance a car, please explore other options, call a credit union, ask your bank, for god sakes ask the Mob to front you the money, ANYTHING would be better than having to deal with these people for 4+ years. If you hate people so much, then stay at home. If you hate dealing with people calling you to get the code, perhaps set up an automated service so that people will not have to deal with you and your sorry attitude. Join the 21st century, you could text the code, you could email the code, you could even set up a website with an users area where they could log in and get the code. There are so many options for you to provide better service. But you choose to be miserable human beings and I am glad that I only have one more payment with you guys!
