They needed a guarantor for my wife to rent an apartment for about $800.00 +/1. This was last week.
I called them that day and left a message. I called again the next day and was told the person was out but would call me when she got back. I let them know I would be driving there and not reachable while on the road. They called me Friday while I was driving (I never heard it because my volume is off while I am driving). I called them when I got to my Hotel and was then informed that I needed 6 most recent paystubs, instead of the 3 or 4 my wife had to present. I managed to get them my most recent paystubs. I was asked to wait in the common area of the office. They raised rent amount by more than $200.00 a month because I'm white and my wife is white, because they knew she couldn't afford the higher amount. And get this: the quote they gave her was only good for 3 days or so. You know, the 3 days I had spent calling them to finalize the guaranty agreement. Claimed they use some rental formula for the rental amount of the apartments. (over 200.00 increased in a couple of days????) They must have done that on purpose. I actually heard when they said 'she has already been turned down. I don't want to rent to that white girl'. They pretty much engineered it not to rent to her. I am kind of used to the racism in Mobile but not by an alleged up front business such as this. I was just wrong. They seem to be an illegitimate organization and, judging from the other reviews, very disingenuous. Saying one thing, then changing it later when the first condition is able to be met. I should buy the business then terminate the employment of everyone in the office.

Terrible apartment. Like another user has said, the best part about this place is the location. Its constantly loud here and rent is too high to deal with the constant noise and terrible insulation. People blast music, stomp up and down the stairs, dogs bark all day and night, etc. You'll hear everything. Especially if you live below someone. Insolation is so bad, I can even hear my neighbors peeing upstairs. The building is built terribly so the ceiling, light fixtures, and walls always rumble with people upstairs or on the stairs.
It's also not safe. There was a comment about their neighbors having a shoot out and Im pretty sure thats true since the building next to the office had a bullet hole in one of the windows and I hear screams late at night from my neighbors.
Cant even open windows to let fresh air in without smelling weed.
The trash is also a big problem since its almost always backed up and makes the whole place smell of garbage.
Not even the electricity is reliable. The whole complex has lost power 4 times in the last week.
I've tried talking to the office but I get constantly ignored.

I moved here last year from Dallas, TX. Referred by a fellow Airbus employee. And Its quite sad. Ive enjoyed the last year living here but will have to move because financially the sharp increase in rent does not make sense. I tried to negotiate a reasonable rate given that I am a tenant that pays rent, sometimes, weeks in advance. However, it fell on deaf ears, ignored. Theyre asking me for a rent increase that you can see on some properties in downtown Dallas, TX which, Im sorry, is dumbfounding for Mobile, AL.
I really hope the office reaches out because its not too late for me. Woodside is currently asking $953 for the same apartment I am leasing as a teaser/bait rateand I offered a 15 month renewal at $980 that was ignored and I was sent a letter of final charges. The property itself is alright, not perfect but nowhere ever is.
