In January 2022 I put an Invisible Fence receiver on my kitten Persephone. In December of 2021 she'd gotten out of my house and was stolen. I wanted to prevent this from happening again and Invisible Fence has been the only thing to help. The receiver was slightly bulky on her at first since she was only a 6 lb kitten, but she quickly acclimated to it. The first few times that she was shocked, she wasn't bothered by it at all. In fact, she would run right through the field. Her receiver was adjusted to a stronger setting. She is now safely contained inside my house. She understands the areas she should not enter. She shows no sign of trauma at all and even seems to understand that if her collar is removed, she won't get shocked.

Vickie, the owner, who is extremely knowledgeable concerning dog breeds, their various temperaments and behavior patterns, took time during the initial call to determine my needs and expectations concerning Invisible Fence (IF). She was upfront with all anticipated costs, the time frame for installation, the availability of future support and she answered my questions clearly and fully. During this past year, on the few occasions I have had questions or desired additional services, I have received the same quick, professional and friendly response. T.J. installed IF a year ago. He met my dog (really interacted with her), walked the property and listened to what I wanted to accomplish. He evaluated the remains of an IF installed over twenty years ago and utilized the majority of the existing wire, saving me money. Note, this product holds up! T.J. explained the suggested changes for the layout of the new IF, installed it, set up training flags and showed me, in detail, how to train my dog to IF. Had I followed his instructions precisely, training would have been completed sooner. My dog, a large breed, was almost two when my son rescued her. Other than her breed, we knew nothing about her background. The goal was to set boundaries and to contain her with the least force possible. I was concerned the collar T.J. offered would not be adequate and requested a more powerful model. T.J., who has worked with Vickie for a decade, also knows dogs. He was confident the collar he recommended was the appropriate one for the task. He was right. This past year has been wonderful for Lucy. She has over an acre of pure freedom and I have peace of mind that she will be here when I come home. I no longer have to walk her on a leash at nighttime or confine her to a kennel when I am not home. There is also a device for use inside the home. T.J. suggested I wait until she was fully trained on IF before purchasing it. Although a business for profit, it is not conducted as a business just to see how much money they can induce you to spend. They really do care about the safety of the animals and about the effectiveness of their product. Rather than sell me a device the day IF was installed, they encouraged me to give Lucy time to adjust to IF, confident she would quickly adapt to the inside device with little or no transition once we were ready. Right again! A change was made to the layout of IF this week. While T.J. was here, I asked to purchase the device for inside the home. He explained how to position and operate the device, gave instructions on how to best utilize it for maximum battery life and introduced Lucy to it. She immediately understood and has not even once attempted to breach the limitations. Life has been much less stressful since IF was installed providing clear, consistent, humane boundaries. So glad I contacted Vickie last year and that she sent T.J. to our home. IF has been worth every penny. Services: General repairs & maintenance, Dog fence installation

That is absolutely untrue! I asked you over and over what my options were and you were very rude to me! I would have been happy with a partial refund but you wouldn't even discuss that! Plus after the issue with my dog I did the research that I should have done before buying a system from you and I found a MUCH better system. One that allows me to adjust the correction strength or to disable it and have audio only. Plus their collar is much better than yours. Instead of the very long metal spikes your collar has this one has small plastic places on the collar where it makes contact with the dogs neck. It's a much more comfortable design. I also learned that your system is basically the one sold at Walmart and Tractor supply for a couple hundred dollars, they are made by the company that makes your stuff.

We had Invisible Fence of Montgomery install a system to contain our miniature pinscher in our yard. On the 4th day or training, as we were instructed to do, we allowed the dog to receive a "correction". Said correction literally knocked him off his feet. After just one of the 4 that we were supposed to torment him too he literally would not go outside the house! Not even on a lease. This system turned our perfectly house-trained pet into a pet that wouldn't go outside for ANY reason! Of course, we call the owner of the company and inquired how to turn down the strength of the shock, 4 times I asked and 4 times she did not answer my question. Instead, she said that my dog was "just being a drama queen" and other comments such as that. I googled how to turn down the strength myself and it turns out that I cannot do that. If you want the strength adjusted, you have to pay for a service call. Also, while researching how to adjust the strength, I learned much more about these sort of fencing systems. Things like the correct way to do it is to always start at the lowest setting and only increase the strength when needed. Or things such as reputable installers will always test the correction before they leave on the day of installation. Or things like there are other manufacturers out there that do make systems that are owner adjustable. The next issue I have is with the receiver on the collar itself. The metal prongs are very long, and the receiver is very bulky. It's much too big and heavy for my small dog. I contacted the owner again and simply asked for my money back on the collar and controller and expressed that I understood that they invested time and money installing the wire and I didn't expect that money back. She was VERY rude to me! She said this was unheard of. And that I must continue to abuse my dog with her system until she feels as if I put in enough effort otherwise, I was not entitled to ANY money back for ANYTHING. Needless to say, I WILL NOT be using this inhumane system on my dog, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else out there do so either. If you feel that you must have a system like this, please do a bit of research before you decide which brand to purchase, "invisible fence" is fortunate that they are the generic term used for these types of systems. Much like "band-aid" and "Kleenex" are used as generic terms. But if you look you will find MUCH better systems on the market, ones that offer the owner much more control of how the system operates and most importantly how the system affects your pet!
