        I hardly leave reviews, but had to. Just called to get information about a structural assessment. Stated that they wanted an address to see where it was and if it was something they wanted to get involved in?? I just want an assessment. Clearly confused and trying to get clarity on their different approach, he got frustrated I guess and rudely/abruptly told me they are very busy and can't take on any more clients hanging up in my face. Why didn't you say that from the beginning??? Questionable business process, poor manners and lack of clear communication in a short phone call?? Red flags. Be careful with this establishment.

      When you called our office and described the problem, I was unsure whether the issue with the building you described was related to our field of practice, Geotechnical Engineering, or it was a Structural Engineering issue. As presented on our website, and other listings, we are a Geotechnical Engineering firm and not Structural Engineering. However, structural problems may sometimes result from subsurface issues (Geotechnical Engineering) like settlement of soft soils or lateral movement of foundation bearing materials on the mountain sides. If the structure is located on the mountain side, slopes or near major drainage features like creeks and rivers, the issue may be related to subsurface conditions, which are within the scope of Geotechnical Engineers. Otherwise, more likely it is something that Structural Engineer should review. That is why I asked you about the address and wanted to know about the conditions. I am sorry that you were unhappy with the call, and If I was in a rush that I needed to leave the office, I apologize for that.
