Huntsville- RUN if youre ever offered a job. I was lied to at the interview by a guy named Scott, who, suspiciously left the company before i started, after telling me he wanted me on a certain team and they had a 25 yr contract with them (a lie). Well, their contract was bunk. No drug tests done so lots of workers making boards, on who knows what. People Screwed up so many boards. No work so i was moved to different areas. Was hired march 6 and laid off may 30 with about 10 other members in my 'group' who were called in. ALL older employees who had been there 6+ years, working various contracts. One even there 40 years! Their management do not know how to manage and if you aren't a favorite, you're screwed. Broken equipment they never fixed just sitting around. Machines that were constantly breaking down. The employees were great and tried working with the broken stuff they had. HR is a joke. They are useless and do not help employees who have questions-you are dismissed. The head of HR is pompous, arrogant and thinks they know EVERYTHING HR related because 'ive been here 34 years'. No path to success is established and no one in my management even knew what six sigma is and I'm a yellow belt and knew more! RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! You'd make more money, get better benefits and 401k and stock options even working at an Amazon warehouse (if that tells you anything) over these guys. If corporate made a surprise visit and talked privately to employees....oh boy...they might not be open after that. Go for YKTA, or MTM, even, over them. I made the mistake of choosing sanmina over YKTA but i rectified that after 2 weeks. Being laid off was a blessing as i was already getting ready to resign due to the conduct of HR and management i witnessed and how they treat their employees.
