A Touch of Peace Counseling Services

I knew I needed therapy but I struggled finding a therapist that was a good fit. I often felt worse after my sessions and I was ready to give up. A dear friend referred me to John which I believe has helped save my life. My experience at A touch of Peace Counseling Services has offered perspectives that continue to help me cope with challenges in my life. John remains professional and actively listens to help identify the root causes of my issues. Ive gained insight I can use to outline strategies that can lead me to solutions. Often times I walk in with feelings of despair and walk out with tools I can use on my journey.

This company saved my life. I thank God I had 3 amazing friends who stopped me from doing something stupid, and introduced me to therapy; one of the best decisions of my life. I would definitely recommend everyone.

I put off counseling for arguably too long for fear of rolling the dice with a therapist who might be more hasty to diagnose and prescribe than to listen and provide meaningful insights. Thankfully, about a year and a half ago, I heard John Ruffin speak publicly about his practice and methods and decided to take a chance on him. I'm so glad I did! Session after session, he consistently provides what for me is a perfect balance between empathy and reason, and over time I've seen the impact of those sessions add up to big change in the way I handle life's ups and downs. I am so much happier than I was 2 years ago and am so grateful to have John in my corner!

My counselor John Ruffin is an excellent therapist. By far the best I've ever encountered. As an African American male therapy is often frowned upon by our community. Then if we overcome that stigma we then often find it a battle to get connect to a licensed therapist that really can relate to us but John instantly did it for me. He really knows how to actively and appropriately listen to his clients for clarity and insight. Even often times can help bring out clarity in what you're not saying but need to be saying for more clarity. He may not always say what you want to hear but will always say what you need to hear for the greater good. He's help me become an all around better person and man in general with no hidden agenda. I'd give him 5 stars all the way around, thanks John.
