If you are looking for a good bank this is definitely not the place you want to go. I'm not speaking out of anger I'm speaking from experience I am currently dealing with this bank and they have put me and my family through the biggest hardship do to their lack of caring and lack of communication.
We deposited a check as anyone would do when somebody gives them a check we never had the funds available to us until the check would clear so we never spent any of the funds at all. we sat patiently waiting like normal people would for the check to clear. The check didn't clear which in a normal case it would just tell you that the check did not clear and maybe charge you a fee or something. No no no not here not with BBVA Compass. Nope they take it and put a hold on the check even after it doesn't clear and then take your account in the negative the amount of that check and then refused to take the hold off and let you continue to get fees with bills that are trying to go through even though you have a very positive balance that they are withholding from you.
Right now because of this Bank my car payment is going to be late as well as one of my credit cards I drive for Uber and Lyft all of my money that gets deposited goes into that account which I cannot deposit in turn leaves me with an empty gas tank so I cannot work so there's money I'm losing also. This Bank when we called the gentleman that we spoke with on the phone refused to let us speak to a manager we have the conversation recorded and when we told him that we needed a manager or somebody higher up to try to fix this for us and we were being polite mind you, his exact words were no he won't know he won't as in saying no the manager will not clear it up and then he refused he said that he refused to put us on the phone with somebody higher up.
I'm sorry but in normal cases if you deposit a check into your bank account and it doesn't go through it doesn't take you into the negative the entire check amount especially if you have a positive balance. This just shows BBVA Compass true colors and I will make sure to let anybody know that I come in contact with which is a lot of people because I drive for both Uber and Lyft that BBVA Compass is not for the people they are for themselves!
