1st I wanna say that I am grateful for the opportunity of experiencing the boys and girls club... Yet the experience that I had during this short period of time was horrible and very unprofessional... Real men aren't allowed 2 work in a place full of very controlling women... The C.E.O. said that she wanted to hire me because I could make a difference only to find out that they don't want change...I never felt welcomed...I wasn't trained(in a way the organization was suppose 2 be ran) neither does staff work as a team... The teachers talk about the kids as well as the staff... The children are still struggling in school... Despite having 3 teachers... My job description said to report to the C.E.O. But in reality they made me talk and report to staff who had the same title as me...I am a role model, yet they didn't want me to be...I was the only one playing basketball with them... They don't even want us to play with them... Just yell and tell them what to do... The only time the staff wanted 2 speak with me is when they wanted me 2 take out the trash or mop the floor...I started getting more disrespected by them when I asked about funding... Because that's how we get paid through funding... Nobody wanted 2 discuss that... Yet certain people were asking me questions concerning it... Everyday it felt uncomfortable because they would text each other then when we had a meeting act like what they were discussing was new... It was only new 2 me... Because no one talked to me about anything... The staff also be yelling at the kids... The other young man there... Only wants to be around women and kids... Staff are very messy... Controlling... Liers... Fake... And hypocrites... And people higher up...C.E.O. runs away from her responsibilities on the job... This is a terrible place to work... I'm just a person who tells and stands on the truth... But the boys and girls club advertise and lives a lie... You have to be there to know and if you don't have discernment, then you're already deceived by the smiling faces... I'm a quiet man not slow... One of their biggest mistakes is that they judged me without knowing me...

If I could give 0 stars I would. My son was neglected while in the care of this facility. When I tried to address the matter I was verbally assaulted. I would not recommend leaving your children here. When I tried to file a complaint I was given the run around thankfully I can advocate for my child. I feel so sorry for children who are left here with no one to advocate for them. Shame on this facility for the way my child was treated. I made a Facebook comment about the issue and was blocked. You typically only do this when you are in the wrong. Do better Boys and Girls Club.
