Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Gadsden

My father had to have rehabilitation for a fracture in a lower vertebrae. We started at NHC in Anniston and it was a horrible experience. He was healthy when he got there and we had to move him due to the pathetic treatment by the caregivers, (rehab department there is great but the caregivers are horrific). We found out about Encompass in Gadsden through a friend and we moved dad there. We were so impressed by everything from the front desk to the rehab department and everything in between. It was all amazing and everyone was very friendly and took great care of dad. It was wonderful knowing I could go home at night and sleep without worrying about dad. If he would have started at Encompass he would have been done in a week or two. But because we started at NHC its been a few months and very stressful. I cannot say enough about Encompass and their entire staff.

This was one of the most enjoyable and productive situations ever . The daily therapy kept me going and paid off tremendously in time of recovery . All the employees were super and supportive , these are truly 5 stars . An extra note , the food was all good and good for you . Ben Reed

Encompass treats each and every patient as if they were close family. From the CEO down, each and every staff member has the patient's care and well-being at heart. I would recommed Encompass to anyone needing rehabilitation or health care on any kind. With doctors on staff and available at all times, you will surely feel better choosing Encompass.

My mother had a pretty severe stroke and spent 14 days at Encompass Healthcare of Gadsden after five days at Erlanger. She still has a ways to go, but Encompass set her on the road to recovery. I cant say enough about the team at Encompass. They truly care. Theyre amazing really. Erlanger called four or five rehab hospitals. Encompass was the only one to call me back. I cannot say enough about Amy Davis, our case manager. She felt more like an old friend or even a guardian angel. Another wonderful team member is Mallory, the night assistant at the nurses desk. I dont have all their names, but the nurses were terrific too. On days I didnt have time to get down to the hospital, Id call to check on Mom. I know I was interrupting their day. But they patiently answered my questions. And they offered wonderful advice for life after discharge. The night my mother checked in, the gentleman at the night desk told me They perform miracles here every day. Its true. I hope you never need their services, but its an absolutely great resource if you do.
