        My husband and I were on our way back from back north Carolina to decatur al and our truck broke down. It was 11 at night and not a single tow truck in the area would tow us to decatur even though we had cash. We managed to get the truck in the ocharlies parking lot right next to the hotel which was the only one we could get to since the steering also went out when the water pump quit. I went in there to ask for a room till the morning and they told us without a reservation they didn't have anything even though we had cash and wanted the best room they had. It's sad that you can be broke down on the road and not a single tow truck or hotel will accommodate you. I will never use another hampton inn ever again! We sat in that truck in the cold for 4 hours waiting on a tow truck finally that came allllll the way from decatur al. And we also had a 15 year old bully with arthritis. I couldn't be more disappointed in the world today than I am at this point! So if you ever get stuck near them don't even bother because they are definitely not accommodating!
