Ive been going to this store since I was a child, but have been a frequent customer for about the past five years since moving to the north side of town. J and his wife are always kind, considerate, and attentive. Some have said that the lady is rude, but a lot of times when I walk in there she is working. Shes on the phone handling business, sweeping, always doing something. We are all only human, and maybe she was having a bad day if she was a little stand offish. Theyve been sweet and kind to my family. Every time Ive walked in this store clearly upset, J and his wife make sure to ask me if Im okay or if something is wrong and his wife has given me kind uplifting words multiple times. They care about their customers. I love the music they play throughout the store too occasionally. Its so neat to hear music from different cultures and backgrounds and the way the music has simply surrounded me sometimes walking in, is just unexplainable. I wouldve probably never been exposed to it had it not been for this store. They may be Indian owned, but theyre locally loved and their ethnic/cultural/religious background shouldnt matter. I hope the owners of Fort Payne Food and Tobacco continue to be a reliable source of products such as milk, butter, bread, and dont forget the vast selection of tobacco and nicotine products, and more. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to supporting the people of Fort Payne.

A business is only as good as the people who own and run it, and that's why Fort Payne Food and Tobacco is a 5-star establishment in my book. It has become my go-to, one-stop shop over the years as it's conveniently located and not far from home. If there's something you want and they don't have it, they'll do their best to get it for you. With regard to some comments about the difference in cash prices versus paying with a card, there is no grand conspiracy or price-gouging going on. I can't really think of any local gas station or shop that doesn't charge a fee for using a Debit or Credit card as they themselves incur a charge each time a customer uses their card. I've seen enough negative and hateful comments that are completely unfounded, cruel, and simply untrue about these wonderful, kind, hard-working, and wonderful people as well as the business they own and operate. FP Food and Tobacco has an incredible variety of just about everything at great prices. And as an added bonus, sometimes their sweet pup comes by to say "hi!".

Down from Canada. Went in and entire family was happy to let me clean them out of every Red Stripe beer they had. Told fellow behind counter I would be back in a few months. He asked me to let him know two weeks in advance so he could order me four two fours for me specifically. Now thats customer service indeed. No beer in corner stores in Canada. Heavily regulated industry has its drawbacks. Thanks FFT and we will meet again this October.
