Self guided tour, a few items donated from the Shorter family. The period additions from the community were nice, showing support for the preservation work. Staff was helpful for the questions we asked.

We had a wonderful tour guide who told us a lot about the history of the Shorter Mansion and the people of the area. It was free to veterans. We'll come back when we have more time. They close at 4.

Drove out of our way to visit. It was a really cool place but there was no critical reflections on history and no information on the enslaved people who also were associated with the house. I found that surprising and disappointing and not in line with most museums and historic houses I've visted in the past
