I contacted Mr. Wheeler last October to do work for me. I thought him to be an honest person, so he seemed. It is March, still don't have work done. Paid him in advance (mistake). I've asked for my money back. As of this date, work hasn't been done and money hasn't been refunded. Beware. Mr. Wheeler has just come. Installed a stair rail. Said would do rest Friday. He had said earlier he would come on March 2nd, and would be finished by March 10th. He is n now saying he can't get it all done by 10th. Mr. Wheeler finished today, March 11th. I have to rescind my earlier comments, the end result is breathtaking. Very well done. Other than the very long wait, if you want a beautiful product, he's your man. I spoke too soon! 3 days after railing was installed, the paint came off in chunks, exposing rust underneath. I contacted Mr. Wheeler regarding problem as no primer was used. He said it had built-in primer. The painter I use said it was because of amount of rust and should have been sanded, etc. Mr. Wheeler said they would come and look. It's been two weeks, have a feeling it's not going to be fixed. So... Mr. Wheeler was given notice regarding defective iron and it was suggested he refund money for defective hand rails outside. He never responded as of this date. 5/5/2016. Lawyers say we have very good case to sue, but reviews and word of mouth in surrounding areas is most effective. Also as some of you have told me, you have a lready contacted lawyers. That's okay but I do think Angie's list, papers, and local reviews might be more costly, especially for a business. Let reviewers know what he has costs each of you, in money, time and stress. I inadvertently posted a pic of my rails onto Mr. WHEELER 's website. For this I offer my sincerest apologies. It was not intended whatsoever. I was doing my review and trying to post a picture of my defective rails. The handrails inside now are shedding. I have an awful situation. If you are considering Wheeler ornamentals, please, please beware.I do not want anyone to have a mess like I have and go thru what I have. Also note the the other reviews are his relatives that have given him good reviews.
