        Honestly, I've enjoyed my time here despite some below average teachers. It's an open campus (like a university). They have a very good music program (Band and Chorus), a large JROTC program, and a football team that's done well the past few years. They offer a variety of extracurricular classes and both AP and DE classes. The Dual Enrollment classes are through Calhoun Community College, and some are taught at Austin. My biggest complaint would be about the current principal at Austin. Dr. Scott is highly qualified to be the principal when it comes to education (she herself is an Austin graduate), but she lacks the basic desire to interact with students not involved in athletics. I love Austin High School and I hope it will get a good principal again. #bbn
