Angela was friendly! From our visit, our table of 4 thought the French fries, onion rings, crab cakes, grilled shrimp, and Mac n cheese was good. Saw a burger delivered to another tableit looked good

We should have gone off the reviews but we wanted to give them a try and wish we wouldnt have! Food was horrible. We started with the crab cakes as an appetizer and it was more like a dense hush puppy cake with no crab in it. We each got salads that came out before the meal as one of our sides. It consisted of a handful of ice berg lettuce with 4 tiny cut up tomatoes and 3 pickles. I ordered the grouper which I ended up sending back because it wasnt edible- it was fatty and slimy and the consistency was like jello. I am not a picky eater but I couldnt stomach eating it. They asked if I wanted something else or wanted it taken off the bill and I opted for it to be taken off the bill. My husband got a ribeye and ordered it medium and it came out well done. I do not recommend this restaurant. McDonalds would have been a better option.

Staying on Dauphin Island and needed a place to feed a whole family of 14 people for the one dinner out we were going to take as a family while we're here on vacation. I could not have asked for better than Kat 5. This place hit all the checkmarks. Call ahead reservation, tables pushed together for all of us, excellent food, and amazing and attentive service. We had people who wanted local staples like seafood and red beans and rice and we had people and kids who just wanted chicken fingers or a hamburger. The food satisfied all of us and it was 5 stars across the board. There is no alcohol here, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Angela, our server, gave our family a dining experience to remember. If you're on Dauphin Island and looking for a place to take the family out to dinner, I highly recommend Kat 5 Cajun Steakhouse.
