Winn-Dixie

I should start by saying Im not familiar with Winn-Dixies in general. Im only in Alabama for the winter and head back to my camp in upstate N.Y. in the summer. I do most of my shopping for everything at Walmart and we dont even have Winn-Dixies in NY! I stopped in the other night to pick up a few items after a long day. I accidentally walked off and left my iPhone and wallet in the shopping cart in the parking lot. I didnt even miss it until I was going to bed that evening. I used my Find My Phone app and realized my mistake. My heart sank. Surely someone would have found and taken it by now!Drivers license and credit cards would need to be replaced and the cash, of course would be gone for good! Not to mention replacing my phone. I already felt lost without it. When I pulled into the parking lot, the carts were inside as the store was closing soon. I didnt hold out much hope, but was presently surprised when I asked if anyone had found it and was told they had it in the office! Everything was as I left iteven the cash was still there. Dee Dee refused to take any $ for her trouble. Its just the right thing to do! Im sure this story would have a very different ending back in NY!! The longer Im in Alabama, the more I love it here. Such a refreshing change of pace to find these decent, honest people everywhere! You have a real gem here.but shhhh, dont tell anyone Thank you to Dee Dee and the other gentleman whose name escapes me. (if I had any memory bandwidth left, I wouldnt have left my phone and wallet in the parking lot to begin with!) I hope the good Lord blesses you both and you will definitely be seeing more of me in Winn-Dixieanother gem!
