Attended their V-day experience. Had a wonderful experience. Staff were so personable and had a great sense of humor. Would go back if ever back in Alabama.

Unfortunately this experience was not what was expected or described. Upon arrival, check in was a bit chaotic and unorganized. No real directions were given. The train ride is a short ride up and down the same track with no views other than the woods of individuals back yards. The train is an older model with not very clean cars. No real tour of the vineyard. The wine tasting was a sample of each wine offered for purchase, however there was no ability to clean your palette between tastings, nor no ability to clean the one glass provided. The tasting happens inside the restaurant alongside other guests that were just patrons of the restaurant. My friend and I traveled over 2 hours for a birthday celebration and were ultimately disappointed by this experience.

The Calera country side is a beautiful area for a winery. We enjoyed this place although when we went it was a bit crowded and the staff/service wasnt as friendly and attentive as Id prefer. Overall the wines were good and we enjoyed the setting. Also have been by as part of the train excursions weve been on. Been a while since weve visited. Beautiful in both spring and fall. In spring everything is lush and in bloom and green. In fall the leaves are changing. Beautiful Bama country side setting. Look forward to visiting again sometime!
Went back today for charcuterie and wine tasting as a belated Valentine Date. Nice atmosphere and music. Service could have been better. They never came back to check on us after bringing our flight and food. Only to bring the check. The tasting was ok. I bought 2 bottles of wine. The souvenir glasses were nice. Charcuterie, for the price, we felt could have been on a board and had a better presentation. Very lacking compared to other wineries in the area but overall we enjoyed our date
