Im unable to recommend Austin Physical Therapy (APT). APT is a small Physical Therapy location that is difficult to coordinate with. I inquired for several months regarding their Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) service and was unable to learn much about the details of the service. Often, my emails, text messages, and voice mails were ignored. Just before Fathers Day they advertised a TPI Fathers Day special which I signed up for. I was told that I needed to contact a specific therapist, by text only, to schedule the initial assessment. The initial assessment went ok, except the therapist was slightly late for the appointment, and was told the TPI assessment results would be emailed to me in a few days. A few weeks later I finally received the computer-generated assessment. I found the assessment details to be very lacking; something that was very generic and simplistic. The Fathers Day package included the initial assessment and 4 or 5 follow-on sessions. Before departing from the initial assessment, we made the next appointment. On the morning of the scheduled appointment, I received a text indicating that it was a holiday, and they were closedso they scheduled an appointment on a closed holiday! The therapist repeated that the best, and only way, to contact her regarding scheduling appointments was via text. I tried calling the main office and the other employees said that I needed to communicate directly with the therapist via text. After frustration with no replies, I finally asked for a refund. Over the next five months I was promised a refund, when I was able to get a response. The therapist always had an excuse. She was out of town, had sick relatives, or just busy. Often weeks would go by after sending a text message without a response. Finally, after about 6 months I gave up. Austins promises made are not promises kept. My purpose of this review is to share my experience.

Have been going here for 18 months initially for back issues and now knee replacement therapy. Care is excellent, personal, professional and the therapists are firm but encouraging. Never feel that I am asked to do anything beyond my ability at that time Have made great progress at this center and very convenient to boot!

Business Response on Google Dec 25th, 2023
Mr. Boggs,We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with Austin Golf and Performance and our Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) service. First and foremost, please accept our heartfelt apologies for the challenges you faced and any frustration it may have caused. We want to provide additional context to your experience and address the delays in communication and service. Regrettably, the Golf Coach who conducted your TPI golf screen unexpectedly became the primary caregiver for a very ill family member in the latter half of 2023. While this was an extraordinary and challenging circumstance for her, we understand that it does not excuse the lack of attention and responsiveness you experienced during this time. We acknowledge that your experience fell short of the high standards we aim to uphold. Your feedback is invaluable, and we acknowledge that our communication should have been clearer. As a result of your experience, we are addressing internal processes to ensure better communication and responsiveness in the future. We do want to clarify that Austin Physical Therapy is distinct from Austin Golf and Performance, where TPI golf evaluations are performed. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this misunderstanding. Concerning the TPI Father's Day special, we appreciate your insights regarding the assessment, particularly the perception of it being generic and non-specific. We respect your viewpoint, although we hold a different perspective. The TPI physical assessment, designed to analyze movement patterns crucial for athletic performance and the golf body-swing connection, is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive assessments in the world of sports. It's important to note that many professional golfers, spanning PGA, LPGA, Senior PGA, and European tours, have undergone this assessment to guide their physical training. Despite our enthusiasm for the effectiveness of this evaluation, we acknowledge our responsibility to ensure that you experienced the same value during your assessment and in the results provided. Your feedback on your assessment and results is instrumental, and we are committed to using it to enhance our communication for future clients. We aim to set clearer goals and expectations, emphasizing our dedication to maintaining a high standard of personalized and detailed TPI assessments in the future. We are grateful for your constructive feedback and the opportunity it provides for continuous improvement in our services. We are genuinely sorry for the extended delay in processing your refund request. We understand your frustration, and we acknowledge that our communication regarding this matter fell short of your expectations. Please know that we are taking immediate steps to rectify this and ensure a more efficient and timely resolution for any future refund requests. Your feedback serves as a catalyst for positive change, and we appreciate your candor in sharing your experience. We want to assure you that your concerns have not gone unnoticed, and we are committed to addressing each issue raised to improve our services for all our clients. Thank you for your understanding. We hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust in the future. Best regards,Jay Austin, CEO, PT, TPI Austin Physical Therapy
