I began seeing Summer Powers, Nurse Practitioner at MedHelp Lakeshore after experiencing Long COVID symptoms for three years. My general practitioner and specialists I had seen during that time all admitted that they did not know what was causing my health issues; extreme fatigue, lack of focus and unable to concentrate or remember, body aches and pain, shortness of breathe, anxiety, but they tried to treat the symptoms. I was misdiagnosed as having MS.
I am so thankful that a family member told me about the clinic, it has been a blessing! My experience with front office staff as well as the nurses has been the most pleasant I think Ive ever had in a medical environment. Calls are answered and/or responded to promptly and courteously. When I arrive for my appointments my wait is never long. The communication and education I receive from Summer Powers is phenomenal. Its very reassuring to understand what is going on with my health. The desire of everyone in the clinic to assist in my recovery is very evident. For this I am so grateful.

Tried to make appointment but calendar on Athena help no good . Would not let me make one even after signing in. Tried calling but after 45 miles on hold gave up

No appt but went in for leg pain. Front Desk Staff friendly and prompt. Triage nurse was very helpful with other issues i had. Met Dr Jeff Love and first thing he did was introduce himself and shook my hand. Discussed my issues and made preparations for solving the issue

The MedHelp clinic at Samford is AWESOME!!! I will never go to another doc in the box again unless they're closed. I didn't have an appointment, but I felt very ill. Aleshia answered the phone and told me to come in. Within one minute of my arrival, she'd started taking care of the check-in portion of my visit. She was AWESOME!! Jamelia took care of me in the back and was AWESOME!! Dr. Love saw me within 5 minutes of my being sent to a room. He was thorough, helpful and AWESOME!! I never even felt the shot I had to get. All I can say is that it's rare for me to write a review, but the team at MedHelp deserved it. I have nothing but the highest praise for them. God bless you all!

I made an appointment to see Dr. Felgner a month in advance. I leave my work appointments to keep my appointment and they say I dont have an appointment. They say that, even though I filled out the paperwork online from a link they text me the day before confirming my appointment. When I get to the appointment the unprofessional position of Dr. Felgners nurse, Andy, and the office manager, Madison, is that the doctor has a personal appointment and therefore has to cancel my appointment. My appointment, which I rearranged my day for, is subject to the whim of his schedule. I ensured I was on time to the appointment, that I completed all of my paperwork, and that I scheduled a month in advance!!! Ive been coming to MedHelp for probably a decade. Dr. Vaughn (the dad) was my doctor. I hate to see it fall to such a poor standard of care. Im done with MedHelp.
