My girlfriend broke up with me here. Part of me wants to give this place one star simply because that experience crushed me. It's been 3 years, I still haven't recovered. Try the Asian slaw though, I would if I could make myself go back.

Roots & Revelry is amazing! Such great drinks! My husbands shrimp and grits were amazing and I stole half of his because my beignets were really sweet (but delicious)! Our server, Allie made sure to accommodate us and was very sweet and attentive. And we even got to meet the general manager, Traci who is also fabulous. If youre in Birmingham, definitely check this out

The food was ok but the service and atmosphere was not good. Me and my sorors were celebrating our 25th anniversary when you were hit with racial tropes because we dare to move a table to allow our sister to leave so that she could make it to work on time. Also, the audacity of us to ask for separate bills when we witnessed them splitting tabs for another table. I know this--my dollar will not go here again. I will not pay for someone to be racist towards me.
