UAB Weight Loss Medicine

The process here has been amazing. The check in process is easy and I've always been called back within only minutes. I have learned so much about what could be causing my weight loss and the education has me ready to take control of my health. Dr. Shoemaker is so attentive, patient, and she definitely knows her stuff. She gets down to the very bottom of your health, I'm talking from blood tests to check into possible issues down to researching every aspect of what could be impacting your weight loss journey. She's also very friendly and makes you feel comfortable about sharing your health goals with her. The weight loss clinic is by far one of the best I've researched, the Drs and dieticians gives you education you need to take charge. You are given so much education about healthy weight loss so you have more than enough resources to guide you through the process. The things I've learned since I started going here has given me confidence that I needed to get back on track. I've been telling everyone about how awesome this clinic and the Drs are since I first started going. I can't wait to return with some great results. I'm definitely glad I made the decision to come here.

I had a wonderful experience with UAB WLM. The check in process was simple and the paperwork was straightfoward. It was fascinating to learn how many calories I burn and find out my A1C! The nurse practioner was so sweet, and made great suggestions for my success. I adored the dietician who met with me. She was incredibly thorough and had awesome information to share. She definitely helped me see that eating healthier is simple and actually not really restrictive! They encouraged me to build endurance for walking as well. I recommend them 100%
