Angelika always does the best job with my hair! She's a rockstar. She is patient with me, offers good input about what will look good, and always makes sure I have a great (and relaxing) experience. She is so talented and I'm so thankful to have found her!

I was looking for someone who could give me a new look. I came across Wheelhouse Salon in Birmingham. Ive had the same basic cut for about four years. Felt like I needed a change. But, as an almost 52 year old man, not a lot to work with given that I have some hair thinning. In the picture is PJ. My first visit, which was earlier this month, I told PJ that I wanted to change it up a little bit. I was thrilled with what he did. I honestly didnt know that I could change it as much as he did, and as much as I did. The first picture is a before picture the basic style of haircut I get. The second picture is after the first cut. And the last two pictures are before and after todays cut. Its not often that I have the confidence in a hair artist like I do PJ. I call him an artist because he had very little work with, and was able to absolutely thrill me with what he did. I love the result. If you are in the Birmingham area and youre looking for someone to give you something new and fresh, PJ is the guy. Not only is he good at what he does, but he is an incredible human. I talk a lot. And, not only does he listen, but he engages so well in conversation. He is such a good soul. It is rare to find all of these qualities in someone when you get your haircut. He is top rated, and, the staff, the environment, and everything about Wheelhouse salon makes a visit there so enjoyable. Kudos to everyone, especially to you, PJ. Thanks.

This was my first time at this salon and its a cute atmosphere. I paid a $90 deposit for $180ish for a full color (overgrown blonde roots/light brown to a darker brown) and cut/blowdry. My hair stylist was very nice and did what I asked for, though my color is essentially almost black and I showed pictures of what color I wanted. When I go pay the rest of what i expected to be $90, plus some cause of extra bowls, I paid $165 ON TOP of my $90 deposit. My services were $250 for a full BROWN color and cut, and thats not including the tip. I understand extra bowl charges. A full color service should not equal the literal color shes putting on my head. I understand theres extra charges when coming up to pay, however almost $100 on top of the other half I had to pay is ridiculous.

Had the best time here. Nichole did an amazing job with my hair. They set realistic expectations and were up front about costs which I love. Melissa at the front desk was also a pleasure to book with. Im new to the area and Im glad I took the time to do the research and come here! Will definitely be back.

Angelika transformed my hair into the perfect butterfly cut and did an amazing blowout. She also gave me tips on how I can style it on my own for everyday styling! I cannot recommend getting your hair cut with her enough!! Love my hair so much, thank you!!
