The food was incredible, unlike anything else I have ever had. I had the Greek salad with grilled Alabama shrimp and I enjoyed every bite of it! The service was amazing, and the waiters are very nice. Very nice comfortable seating, and I loved the lighting. We also got the southern gentleman which was incredible!

My husband and I are in town for the NCAA tournament and we're so hungry. This was close to our hotel. The service is great everyone is so friendly and helpful. It has very classy retro diner decor.  For our starters we had the stuffed tater tots and the pimento cheese with freshly cooked pork skins.   Do not skip on the starters. Very delicious and the right amount of food.  For our entrees I had the famous meatloaf and my husband had the bourbon glaze pork chop.  The meatloaf was moist and tender and topped with fried onion strings all of it sat on top of the tastiest mashed potatoes . Everything was seasoned perfectly.My husband said the pork chop was the best he ever had.  His plate came with garlic spinach, which was super tasty and with mashed potatoes.  I had a bite of his pork chop and it was delicious. For dessert we got the bread pudding to go.  Perfect end to our meal.  Also the drinks we ordered were good as well.  We definitely will be back to try other things off the menu.  So if you are looking for delicious upscale comfort food this is your spot. Sorry if my pictures suck, they don't do the food justice.

We were in Bham for a concert and were in close proximity to Johns. I got the meatloaf and my wife got the Mac and cheese. Both were excellent!
