Jury duty is not a privilege its a civil duty you have to preform otherwise you get fined or put in jail. If you get called for it bring food, drink, and entertainment otherwise your up a creek without a paddle.

First. Serving in a jury is a privilege. Just do it. Now, here is what you need to know: Its hot in the jury room. Dress in layers. You WILL be sitting for hours on end. Bring something to occupy yourself. Lastly and most importantly: DO NOT ORDER the lunch that is delivered to the jury room. You will waste you lunch hour waiting for it to arrive. Walk (to anyplace you are able) to pick up lunch. You will need the fresh air, change of scenery and you will actually be able to eat your lunch, which is a novel idea, I know. Oh, I almost forgot: if they dont offer it, ask for a parking pass at the end of the day. They will not let you out of the lot without it.
