BPD South Precinct

Had some credit cards stolen and attempted to be used and when I tried to file a report was just given run around and told there was nothing they could do.

I'm not sure if officer Shirley Jackson is part of this precinct but just wanted to give a shout out to her and thank her for all of her help with unlocking my truck for me. I locked my keys inside and I was having difficulty because the hanger I was using had broke. All of my insulin and medical supplies were locked inside. When I noticed her across the street I decided to walk over and see if she could possibly help and she was more than happy to assist me. Working together it took us about 10 minutes and we were both on our way. Again, thank you Shirley for your help and just wanted to say thanks to you as well as all other officers and first responders out keeping us safe. Sincerely, Doug

Very patronizing and unhelpful. I was blamed for when a crazy guy nearly hit me, then cornering me on a sidewalk, and circling my car. My offense? Honking so he wouldn't hit me and then telling him when he cornered me on the sidewalk asking why I honked that he pulled out in front of me and didn't yield like he was supposed to. The officer basically said I was in the wrong the whole time because, "he was probably annoyed I honked and there's nothing illegal about sitting in a parking lot and voicing your opinion". Ok, there's intimidating a woman traveling alone AND STALKING HER. He suggested I should've distanced myself. Ummmm, I was distancing myself by trying to walk away and trying to drive away. I guess next time I'll just let him hit me, or destroy my car. Thanks for caring. Not a mystery as to why support is waning for you.

Amazon insisted that I file a report for a stolen package. Officer Roberts took the report over the phone and was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. And that happened to be on a day the entire Bham PD was short staffed. I was really impressed with how kind Officer Roberts was.
