Our car broke down at the traffic light right next to here and out of nowhere comes a guy to help us, like an angel in disguise! He helped us clean the corroded battery terminals and provided a bolt to hold the connector together so the car could start again. His name is Ethan and he was about to close up shop when he saw we needed help. He even let us inside to use their restroom. What an act of kindness that I would like to repay with this positive review! If Ethan is this nice with total strangers, Im sure he would be great to do business with!

Great experience! Ethan was a huge help and got me exactly what we were looking for! I also appreciated his honest opinions on the best route for financing.

If you are considering purchasing a car from Ultra Motorcars in Birmingham, AL, our advice is buyer beware. What was planned as a quick morning flight to pick up a very low mileage 2007 Bentley Continental GTC became a 2-month car buying lesson. Our original impression of Ultra as a company that prides itself on offering exceptional, high-quality cars (Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin), has dissolved. Here is why. In June our plan was to pick up the car and drive on to Florida for a family gathering. We were paying full asking price, $59,995, and had arranged financing. We were assured by TK and Ethan that the car had been fully serviced. When we arrived, we confirmed the oil had been changed, but our first clue that the car may not have been serviced was a cursory inspection that revealed two front tires had dry rot. Ethan said he would replace them so we spent 2 extra days waiting for the replacement of tires. But then a more critical problem occurredwhen we did a test drive we realized the check engine light was on. Ethan said that his check of the codes had shown a problem with the drivers side seat adjustment. He had tried but failed to fix it. He said dont worry, continue with your our plans. Ill help resolve the check engine problem when you return home. On returning to NC, we took the car to 3 separate mechanicsMotor Tech, Eurocars, and Cape Fear Audi and paid each to run diagnostics. All three concluded that the problem was a vacuum line behind the cars engine. All 3 agreed (1) that a repair would require that the engine be dropped, (2) that none had the proper equipment to do the work, and (3) that the repair/replacement would cost approximately $10,000 to $12,000. When we sent all the information to Ethan, he told us to ship the car to him because he has a mechanic who could fix it without dropping the engine, and he provided a link to a car forum and a post that claimed the vacuum line could be replaced without dropping the engine for $4000-$6000. Still concerned about such a repair, we took the car to a Bentley dealer for a complete computerized analysis and mechanical inspection. They concluded that the vacuum line should be replaced and also found (1) a disconnected pipe (photo), (2) the wrong radiator coolant had been used and could potentially cause overheating, and (3) a rather strange repair under the bumper that included the riveting of an Alabama license plate to the underside of the car (photo). The Bentley estimate for the vacuum line replacement was approximately $11,000. Given that now 4 individual mechanics had confirmed that the repair/replacement would require dropping the engine, we first suggested that Ultra contribute $6000 toward our having the repair/replacement at the Bentley dealer. In response, TK insisted that Ultra could have the vacuum line replaced for $2700, which included Ultras paying $1000 for round trip shipping of the car to their mechanic in Alabama. In the interest of resolving the issue and moving on, we suggested that they contribute what the repair would cost themapproximately $3000. to apply to our overseeing the repair locally. Ethan and TK would save the time cost of handling the logistics of an Alabama repair, and we would pay the difference and have other problems taken care of at the same time at our expense. At this point Ethan and TK went silent; we have not received any response or heard from anyone at Ultra since our September 7, 2023 email. We recognize that this a 16 year old car; but given Ethans initial offer to help us resolve the problem and given the opinions of 4 separate mechanics against the type of repair offered by Ethan, we tried to work with Ultra as we had hoped that Ethan was a man of his word. In the end Ethan and Ultra did NOTHING to resolution the existing check engine problem. Looking back, however, I guess we were too trusting. There was an early signIt had taken TK more than a month to provide a title for us to be able to register the car in NC. But lesson learned.

Bought a 2015 Range Rover from Ethan 2 weeks ago, he was completely honest with the history of the vehicle, the dealer charges, and everything about their vehicles (they had 4 Range Rovers at the time of purchase) and I test drove all of them. Ethan was honest, professional and extremely polite. The sale transaction was flawless and we're very happy with the purchase. I'd definitely go back to this dealer for my next vehicle.
