OUR VISION

 To have animal nutritional needs included within human food pantries.

WHO WE ARE
 
RESCUES ON85TH is a 501 (C) (3) NPO Supplemental Nutrition Program.

We are located in Birmingham, Alabama, serving Jefferson County. We collaborate with local foodbanks, GREATERGOODS Charities and The Birmingham Humane Society through the GOODS program. We are a volunteer-based mobile service that rely on the generous donations and support from the general public.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
 

We promote the belief that the name known as" PET(S)" which are categorized as animals living within a household, shelter, or homeless setting are by our viewpoint (FAMs) Furry Family Members of society, and that such a belief serve as a model for social change in the overall equal treatment of (FAMs).

WHAT WE DO
 
RESCUES ON85TH operates a supplemental food program, called the "Nutrition One" program, which distributes donated products such as cat and dog food, in addition to bedding, litter boxes, cat litter, and other goods when available to qualifying households, and where (FAMs) Furry Family Members of society reside.

The Nutrition One program is not meant to replace the responsibility of the care giver, but to assist in the prevention of surrender, euthanizing, abandonment, and malnutrition of FAMs, by easing the financial cost of care to the caregiver and promote the responsibility of the community as a whole to become involved with such care for FAMs experiencing homelessness.
