I absolutely love Acre and have been to the restaurant about 10 times. My experience Saturday was wobbly, however. I had a reservation for 2 at 11:00 a.m., right when the restaurant opens. We arrived at 10:55 and checked in. At 11:20, we had still not been seated. I went to the hostess who said she checked in the wrong party and we were seated at about 11:25. We ordered two Acre burgers - one cooked medium and one medium well. When one of the waiters brought the meal, I asked specifically how we were to know that mine was medium and my wife's was medium well. He explained something like I am guest 1 and she is guest 2 and they got them right. It sounded reasonable, but they got it wrong. They had clearly flipped the two, which we found out after each eating a bit of the burger. Finally, the fries were nearly inedible. I have never had more salty fries than yesterday at Acre. We finished with some salt butter ice cream, which was very good, as usual. The young woman who was our server was nice and upbeat and attentive. We don't just like Acre; we love Acre. Yesterday's meal experience was a real letdown.

Honestly the best food I've had at a restaurant so far. The duck was a bit gamey and not for me, but they were very polite and offered me another entree. It was the best steak I've had in my life. And that's not an exaggeration. The charcuterie board had so many things I had never tried before such as pickled, green beans and a variety of meats and cheeses. I don't like pimento cheese but this is the only place I will eat it from. I got chocolate cake from this establishment and it was quite good too. It's not cheap by any means and I would only go on a special occasion. But I would definitely recommend it for a fine dining feel.

Exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing and well seasoned and beautifully plated. I enjoyed every bite! The waitress also made me a wine flight! 4 different wines to taste since I didn't want hard liquor (this is not on the menu). It was amazing! We went for my sister's birthday and they had a birthday card waiting for her on the table and gave her a free slice of cake! Very considerate place on top of the amazing food! The wine selections were also great Parking: Valet only Parking

April 2024 As can be seen from my original (5 star) review, we liked Acre. However, when we've gone the past few times, it's definitely been subpar to how it once was. On the last occasion, I got a burger and my spouse got a cuban. The bright spot was the appetizer, which was pimento cheese and chips. They were great. The main course was overly salty and the fries were well overdone and greasy. I've had way better burgers, too. In addition , we couldn't figure out our server sometimes friendly, sometimes ticked. We went for lunch that was about $25 per person, without a drink and including the app. Overall, we probably won't be back anytime soon. Original review 2017 Acre is one of the, if not the, best place to eat in the region. For a typical day, I would definitely recommend the lunch over the dinner, as it's very affordable and the meals are unmatched in taste and quality. We've had dinner here once or twice, and while great, we definitely prefer the lunch over that. The atmosphere inside and out are also amazing, love the pear trees and garden outside and the interior has a great feel and AMAZING smell. HIGHLY recommended.
