Don't rent this place! Worst service! The manager doesn't care about anybody or anything. There is no shortage of bugs in the apartment and they never go away. Sewage water get to room from leaks/breaks in ac closet every year and they don't seem to care about it. On top of that, the manager threaten to leave apartment occasionally for various reasons that you don't even responsible for.

On May 19th, 2019 I found one of my Neighbors did PEE in front of my door. How terrible it is !!! The odor was super intense so it is from an adult, not children. My ground floor person is always listening to sounds/noise and issued noise notice. I do not know when they will shoot me :(

The chateau apartments were overall a good living experience. No problems with neighbors and close to downtown. The only things I wish had been better was the bug spraying and the keeping clean of the apartment exterior. The office let trash sit around for a long time. My neighbors and I all had roaches and I wish they had sprayed more. Other than that, the apartment itself was nice and it had very convenient bus locations

It's cheap, and there's a reason for that. Hard to get anyone to live in a place that is completely overrun with drug dealers and break-ins. Personally witnessed four drug raids while I lived there, heard gun shots, saw people carrying guns, saw people fighting in the parking lot, and we had a ton of break-ins. It's right on a transit stop, the apartments are pretty large, and you can walk to the bars from there. Which most people do because they are on probation (or parole) and don't have licenses. The pool is the only real "amenity" available besides a laundry room, and it's never kept in good enough condition to even use it -- the pool water doesn't filter or circulate, the furniture is usually broken, and there's always trash all over the place, with a gate/door that's been broken for years (watch those kids). That should also tell you something about the maintenance guys, who can usually be found sitting in their cars in the parking lot, doing what looks like a whole lot of nothing, while the place falls to disrepair inside and out. The Chateau is one step up from the projects. Be sure you get some renter's insurance.
