Not the best place for people with mental health issues. Most women are court ordered to be there. Each woman is paying over $700 a month to stay, unless you're on disability it's a little less. Only one hot meal a day provided and each girl is put on food stamps if you don't get foodstamps your option is cereal for breakfast before 9 am or a sandwich and noodles for lunch. They will NOT hesitate to kick you out. And I know women who have graduated but end up having warrants because the woman dealing with the courts did not send in their certificate of graduation. It's just not worth it. I think it's all about money. Also you get no rest there. They constantly want you doing something and with it being a half way house women are always coming in and out you get no sleep!! Not worth it at ALL. Also a lot of favoritism shown towards some girls and others not so much. If your loved one is going to be court ordered somewhere I'd choose a different place! And also if there is a family emergency or something that you need to tell your loved one good luck you can call a week straight trying to talk to them and all you'll be told is they will return your call and they never do.

I owe everything to Starting Point, it has saved my life it gave me hope when I had none and helped me find myself and taught me how to live!!!! I have restored relationships with my family and today I have a life I never dreamed of!! It has definitely been my saving grace

Starting Point Outreach and the AA program saved my life. This place and the women there taught me how to love myself and accept life on lifes terms. Today, not only do they believe in me, I believe in myself and know that I can do hard things. I love this place and everything it stands for. I will forever be grateful

If you want to set your child or loved one up for failure or have them back in jail send them here better look else where if you want them to succeed

This place changed my life, showed me more love than I can explain. They took me at my breaking point and loved me right where I was. They showed me not only how to live but how to be my best self. This place is amazing grace for me and so many others. The staff truly loves and cares for each lady that come through. I truly thank them for loving me when I couldn't even love myself. I will forever be grateful to this place, the woman and the staff, for changing my life and being apart of my family.
