What gives? I made an appointment days in advance. Talked to the gal who would be cutting my hair. I got here 2 minutes before my 10am appointment, and no one is here. Waited 10 minutes before I gave up and got a cut downstairs at Supercuts. Annoyed I wasted my time

I had made an appointment over the phone for last Saturday and when I showed up for my appointment nobody was there and the place was closed. I tried to call several times on Monday to find out what happened and nobody ever answered the phone. There was just a generic message, doesnt even state the name of the business. So, they dont seem reliable or professional and I sure wont try again.

I showed up to the salon and no one was there, waited for 20 minutes, then left. Shame on me as I had read the previous review of this happening and still made an appointment. So incredibly unprofessional!

I cant believe Ive waited so long to write this review. I think its because its taken me that long to almost fully recover from my experience here. I cant recall the name of the stylist I went to here in March 2022, but honestly that shouldnt even matter any salon that would allow that stylist to wield scissors should be avoided like the plague. I have very thick hair, which Ive always kept to about mid-chest length. Ive also had an undercut for several years, which helps take some of the bulk out of my hair and makes it more manageable. I came into the salon asking for it to be cut to fall just below my collarbone, clean up the undercut, and add some soft layers. This was my first time at this salon. Way past mid-haircut, the stylist said, and I quote verbatim, because I will NEVER forget it: Im going to need to rethink this plan. She had already done the undercut but taken it WAY too high up my neck/back of my head, removing way too much thickness, already cut the length, and already started the layers. Bottom line: she had removed way too much of the thickness with the aggressive undercut to accommodate the layers shed done. As a result, we had no choice but to take the cut shorter, to above shoulder length, as the longest layers were just way too thin. Ive been told by every stylist Ive ever been to that I have some of the thickest hair theyve ever seen. I walked out of the salon with hair so thin you could see my neck through it. I was absolutely mortified. I ended up wearing hats all spring and summer and Im not even a hat person (I legit had to buy 3 hats because of this haircut). It wouldnt be an overstatement to say that this haircut crushed my self-esteem for quite a while. I felt absolutely horrible about my appearance. Its taken 1 1/2 years of growing my hair out and multiple visits to another salon to finally *almost* recover from this haircut. Im glad others have had such great experiences here. Not sure why mine was so different maybe the stylist was having an off day. If youre OK with rolling the dice with your hair, Id say give this place a chance. If youre not willing to take the chance that youll get the worst haircut of your life, Id advise you to steer clear.
